Arkantos

I had the beginnings of this picture sitting at the bottom of my adobe que for weeks now. I decided to finish it last night and today, and I'm glad I did. Technically it still needs a hind hoof but I have yet to find one that fits so untill I finish it completely this version will be going up here. I'll just change the picture when it's done.

Anyway, this horse looked like an angel to me. Its head was graceful and its mane so flowing. I don't usual like to do angelic types of things with halos; in fact this is my first, but I'm happy with the way this came out. I named it Arkantos from the Greek hero in Age of Mythology. Great strategy comp game. The horse is actually a male because of its name which is somewhat unusual for angelic things. As it is now I'm satisfied with it. I didn't like it at first but its growing on me slowly.
